This at-grade route of approximately 87 km extends from Yas Island in the south and continues northwards through the communities of Al Bahyah and Al Rahba towards KIZAD (Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi), before continuing toward the Dubai Border, to connect with the Al Qudra Cycle Track.

The Department of Municipalities and Transport awarded the contract of construction and landscaping of commercial strips in Khalifah City to GCCLD. The project scope is to upgrade the existing roads with new cycle tracks, sidewalks, installation of new drainage system and new lighting system that will transform the commercial strips into a vibrant and attractive spaces that promote economic activity and community engagement.
